The Group, of which Defim Orsogril is an integral part, confirms its position as the only Italian steel company included in the European ranking dedicated to businesses most committed to reducing emission intensity.

Feralpi Group has been included, for the fifth consecutive year, in the Europe Climate Leaders 2026. This ranking, compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with Statista, identifies the European companies making the greatest strides in reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity.

This is a highly valuable recognition that confirms the solidity and continuity of the Group's journey toward an industrial model increasingly focused on decarbonization, energy efficiency, the circular economy, and the growing use of renewable energy.

Being featured in this ranking for five consecutive years demonstrates that sustainability is not an episodic or tactical choice, but a true long-term industrial directive. It is a path pursued consistently even during complex years marked by health crises, energy tensions, geopolitical instability, and regulatory changes.

The list drawn up by the Financial Times and Statista considers European companies that achieved the best results in reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions relative to revenue. The evaluation also takes into account transparency in reporting Scope 3 emissions and collaboration with independent assessors, such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

For Defim Orsogril, being part of the Feralpi Group means sharing an industrial vision founded on innovation, responsibility, and attention to value chains. Our solutions for construction, industry, perimeter security, and architecture are born within a Group that continues to invest in processes, technologies, and strategies capable of generating lasting value for customers, partners, and local communities.

"Being recognized for the fifth consecutive year among the Financial Times' Europe Climate Leaders has a precise meaning for us: it confirms that sustainability is not a tactical choice, but a genuine long-term industrial directive," states Giuseppe Pasini, Chairman of Feralpi Group. "In recent years, we have faced health crises, wars, energy tensions, and regulatory shifts that have tested businesses and supply chains. Yet, despite all of this, we continue to forge ahead on our path."

This achievement reinforces Defim Orsogril's commitment to contributing, within the Group, to an increasingly solid, transparent, and future-oriented supply chain.
